Hey there! I’m Alicia and I’m a huge nerd for all things habits, behavior, and neuroscience.

No, I’m not a scientist or psychologist.

But I am someone who had to turn her life around and change some pretty horrific behaviors and habits. On December 19, 2016, I took my last drink of alcohol. Shortly thereafter, I quit smoking after fifteen years of trying (and failing).

That process made me an avid consumer of books, scientific articles, podcasts, lectures, and anything else that could help me understand why humans do what we do AND how we can train our brain to do better.

Why do 80% of people fail to keep their New Year’s Resolutions? Why do over 70% of smokers who “quit” go back to smoking within a year?

I was tired of being one of those people who couldn’t change. Since willpower wasn’t cutting it, I wanted to find something that would.

And that’s what I’m gonna share with you!
